Bananatime!

Did you know that the banana plant not is a tree? It is actually the world's largest herb!

It is widely believed that the banana is a fruit. The banana itself is, according to different persons, a herb, a berry and a fruit. It's ranked as the world's most popular “fruit” and the big herb was found in the region of Malaysia.

Bananas grow in bunches and sometimes there is close on 200 bananas at one single tree. The total weight of all bananas in one tree can be nearly 50 kg!

I found some instructions on how to eat a banana and they are from the Domestic Cyclopaedia of Practical Information. The instruction reads as follows: "Bananas are eaten raw, either alone or cut in slices with sugar and cream, or wine and orange juice. They are also roasted, fried or boiled, and are made into fritters, preserves, and marmalades."

The website banana.com is telling the world how great bananas are. It tells how bananas can be medical used. Some examples of what the bananas, according to banana.com, will cure is: mornings sickness, heartburn, hangovers, depression, stress, PMS, strokes, mosquito bites and a lot more. It also tells how the banana helps us, students, with our brain power: “200 students at an English school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.”

I myself agree with banana.com and think that the banana is the best thing there was ever made!

and so the bananas were next

So no training today, since I am starting to get ill...
A moment ago I went to the kitchen to check if the dinner was ready. It wasn't... so I took a banana, and then I knew what to write about in my next formal post... BANANAS!
I eat at least one banana a day, and the days I train I eat a lot more! 'Love it!
So.. now you know what to wait for!

I really wanna exersice today. Insted of making a wry face I will show you what I had done by now if I should go on the training tonight.
I would do my "after-training-smoothie"... and I know that you want the recipe, so here it comes:

It might not seem to taste that well. But, friends, I can tell you that everything (even this mess) tastes well after training.
Since I've never drunk this mix before training or any time other than after,
I can't tell if it really is appetizing as a juice.

I wonder if this is enough for a personal post. Maybe I'll ask Maja 'bout it tomorrow, and start with my formal (banana) post now instead.

Wrestling

Since I have to do two formal posts in this blog I thougt about writing something about my new hobby: wrestling.

Wrestling is an athletic sport which is based around trying to force your opponent down on his/her back.
It's also one of the oldest sports in the world.

There are many different kind of wrestling-styles, but there are only two styles where you can compete at the olympic games. These are called Greco-Roman and Freestyle.
They differ on the type of holds permitted. While Greco-Roman wrestlers may hold only above the opponent's waist, there is no such restriction in freestyle wrestling.
Since I am a beginner, I train Greco-roman style only.

Here you can see some Greco-roman style. (The wrestling-part starts at 0.33)

Here you can see some Freestyle. (This video is a bit extreme, I think, since they only are grabbing the opponents ankles.)

Do you see the differences between the styles?

The Wrestling Federation that I am training with is called "Umeå IK -brottning". Umeå IK was made 97 years ago, at the beninning of the 20th century.

Wrestling is a natural way for one to measure your own physical power. This is especially good for youth and kids who need to practice their motor skills and coordination.
This sport is so much more than just games on the wrestling mat. If you are training wrestling you will both get a better health, a strong constitution and a lot more which is to the benefit of every other sport or activity you may do.
That's the mainreason why I like wrestling.

okay then

ok, this is my first blogpost. I'm using this blog because we got an assignment from our English teacher to create a blog and write both personal and formal stuff. A beawesome assignment , acording to me who loves blogging.
(the design is really gimcrack, but I'm going to take care of it someday. Since I don't write here every day, it's not at my top-priority-list)

Well this post was a short one, but I'm going to sleep in ten minutes or so. But I'll try to write something more, 'cause the posts were suposed to be pretty long, so I guess I'll continue like this (with unnecessary information) for a while.

Today has been a really lazy day. My body was so tired and I got muscle-ache from yesterdays training in wrestling. Yeah, that was kind of everything!

Me and Inez biked from the city to ersboda... My legs were totally gone after that. 30 minus maybe?

Anyway, now I'm going to bed, I think my writing's going to be kind of boring to read, 'cause (at least right now) I don't know what to say, and the pictures i upload had to have a connection with my writing.
Since I don't got some pictures on wrestling or muscelache or freezy legs, I guess you have to survive without anyone!

(I feel sorry for the human beeings who'll try to read this)
